Tornadoes Hit Colorado

Our UCC Church Family is Safe, but Shaken.

5/23/2008

Dear Friends:

Many of you are aware that Thursday afternoon a tornado passed through the town of Windsor CO. The Conference Office has been in touch with people in the Northeastern Association and Fred Evanson, associate pastor at Faith United Church of Christ in Windsor. The church building sustained minor damage from hail, but was not in the direct path of the tornado. At this time, it appears that the church’s staff, families, and friends are all physically well, although some sustained property damage during the storm.

Information from Greeley and Ft. Morgan indicates church staff and parishioners are safe. and storm damage is minimal.

Monies earmarked for Windsor should be sent to the United Way of Weld County, PO Box 1944 Greeley, CO 80632.

We appreciate the many expressions of concern that have come into the Conference Office. As we receive a better understanding of the needs in Windsor, and other locations affected by the storm, we will pass the information along.

David Popham
