New Face, New Pace
Rev. James Watson joins staff at First Congregational Church in Loveland

First Congregational United Church of Christ recently called Rev. James Watson to join as their new Pastor.

Rev. Watson has a BA in Philosophy and Ancient Near Eastern Studies. He attended the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary and received his Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary. His continued studies included Reformation studies in the Masters program at Vancouver School of Theology.

By invitation, he also studied at the University of Geneva Switzerland in their Doctorat en theologie programme.

He was ordained by the United Church of Christ in 1986 in the Pacific Northwest Conference, serving at Mercer Island Washington Presbyterian Church. Rev. Watson began his service to First Congregational Church on Dec. 1, 2006.

He and his wife Thelma, also an ordained Presbyterian minister, have one daughter Sasha who attends college in Missoula, Montana. Rev. Watson's special interests include cooking (he holds a degree in Culinary Arts), travel, art and architecture appreciation.
