Annual Clergy Retreat around the corner
Come break bread with us Oct. 7-9 at YMCA Camp of the Rockies

We have all heard Jesus’ injunction to Peter to “feed my sheep,” but have you ever wondered who will feed the shepherds? The Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Church of Christ wants to feed your shepherd this fall in the soul-inspiring wilderness of the Rocky Mountain National Park environs. Now is the time for a “Christmas-in-July” gift for your pastor. We will feed our spirits, spark our imaginations and form friendships from far and wide.

Author, spiritual director and retreat director, Brad Berglund will be our retreat leader. Brad has a degree in theology and another in music and has completed the program for spiritual direction at Shalom Institute in Bethesda, MD. Brad will lead us in our own spiritual journeying as well as present an afternoon workshop on “Reinventing Sunday.”

We will all be together under one roof this year at the Patty Hyde Barclay lodge at the YMCA Camp of the Rockies. Clergy may bring spouses, partners and children if so desired. Most rooms have a private bathroom. We will be cooking together under the direction of professional chef/pastor James Watson.

Come break bread with us, come receive food for your spirit as well. There are no expectations but that you rest and revive. There will be opportunities for hiking, wildlife photography (the elk have wrangled for us the past two years), swimming, massage, conversation, worship and fellowship. We are anticipating that the maximum cost per person will be $115.00 and it will be less if more attend. This event is being underwritten by the Rocky Mountain Conference of the UCC. Get it on your pastor’s calendar NOW!
