Celebrating our journey together

From the first issue of this newspaper “News of the Rocky Mountain Conference” in January 2002, almost five years ago, my goal has been to improve communication within United Church of Christ family in the Rocky Mountain Conference.Little did I suspect when beginning this paper, what a rewarding, life changing experience it would be.

“ God is still speaking,” Apparently many of you are listening. Thanks to you the newspaper, the "RMC Reflections" bulletin insert, the Conference website <www.rmcucc.org> and the annual meeting have all become robust communication tools for spreading the "Good News."

Thank you to all who have contributed articles that informed, educated and inspired. Thank you to all who have enriched us by sharing your wisdom and experiences. Thank you to the audience that has supported us. Thank you to all who have shared these messages with neighbors and congregations.

I appreciate your kindness and generosity. You have lifted me up and motivated me to be the best I can be. Your passion and compassion have inspired me to stay in faith-based community service and the nonprofit sector. I aspire to career opportunities in the Phoenix area, where I can continue to contribute whatever talents and gifts I have been given. Encouraged by your fellowship, I strive to advance our progress toward a more tolerant and just tomorrow.

Life changes can be exciting, yet difficult times. Please keep me in your prayers, as I pray for only the best for the United Church of Christ and the Rocky Mountain Conference. Please continue to support the communication efforts that bring us closer together.
