David Nestor receives housing award

David Nestor, in this photo with his wife, Annie,and daughter, Laura, received the ‘Eagle Award’ at the “Colorado Housing NOW” conference. Colorado Housing Now is the premier coalition of nonprofits in Colorado that build and operate affordable housing for workforce and homeless persons and families.

Nestor and two other awardees were selected from a field of 16 candidates nominated from the entire State of Colorado. The vote was taken of the entire membership of over 500 people at the conference.

When his name was announced, David also received a standing ovation, the only one given, for his personal dedication and financial contributions to the support of affordable housing in the Denver Metro area through Rocky Mountain Housing Development Corporation, Inc.

Nestor did not know that his family would be in attendance until they appeared at the recognition dinner in Breckenridge. So, he was pleasantly surprised about both the receipt of the award and having his family there to share it with him.
