Park Hill Congregational UCC (PHCC) is seeking an organized and enthusiastic advocate for children and youth, focused primarily on K-8th grades; someone who feels passionately about helping young people grow spiritually by various means of learning, experience, mission, service, and fellowship.  PHCC is a culturally diverse, progressive and inclusive, congregation located in a racially mixed, stable neighborhood and adjacent to booming Stapleton.  There is much growth potential.

Position:  Part-time, exempt, 10 hours per week with growth potential, permanent
Salary:  $8,400 per year (additional $4,000 C.E. budget for programming expenses and $6,400 for capital expenses)
Reports to:  Pastor; work collegially with active Christian Nurture Board
Starting Date:  July 1, 2008

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (a final job description is awaiting completion):
Coordinate all aspects of Sunday School, recruiting teachers, teaching as needed, helping volunteers feel successful;
Lead youth groups, currently for middle school, and preparing the way eventually for a high school group;
Work collaboratively with pastor and Christian Nurture Board to enhance current and additional programming, relying on the gifts of a new staff person to help determine new directions;
Advocate for further involvement of children and youth in church life;
Involve kids in Conference retreats and programming.

Experience and Qualifications:
Must love kids and work well with adults;
Some experience in church or church-based programs for children and/or youth; if not, experience in educational settings;
Some education and/or training in Christian education;
Strong understanding of the stages of child and adolescent development;
Excellent organization skills; a person who is capable of delegating responsibilities, support and follow through;
Ability to teach and train other teachers;
Energy and enthusiasm for taking our program to a new level.

The Kirk of Bonnie Brae UCC is seeking a Director of Music & an Accompanist for a contemporary worship service.

Director of Christian Education

Lakewood UCC is looking for someone to support and promote the goals of LUCC’s Christian Education ministry including children, youth and adults. Will report to the Board of Christian Education, with dotted line to the Pastor.

Position:
• Part-time, exempt (20 hours per week), permanent position
• Salary $9,852 per year
• Christian Education budget for 2006, excluding compensation package: $4,590

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assume primary responsibility for the coordination of all Christian Education Director – led programming and support the Christian Education and volunteer – led programming as summarized on the attached matrix
• Attend all Christian Education, Church Council, and Pastor/Staff weekly meetings at the church (note that activities are generally reduced in the summer months, with no Sunday School during the summer and vacations)
• Be present at Christian Education sponsored events, classes and youth activities as needed
• Comply with all church and administrative policies, including the management of the Christian Education budget

Experience and Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills, task orientation, ability to delegate
• Biblical knowledge and experience in Christian Education a must
• Education or related degree a plus, but must demonstrate understanding, development and implementation of curriculum
• Experienced in working with volunteers and young people – looking for a collegial person able to work with an open and affirming congregation of diverse thinking
• Demonstrated success in developing youth programming

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
• Shared office, phone and administrative support provided at the church
• Must work on Sunday morning
• No special physical requirements
