- Parish Ministry Team |
The Clergy-Parish Ministry Team (formerly the
Ministry Committee) meets 2 to 4 times a year, with up to two members
from each association (maximum of 12 people). It supports the Association
Ministry Committees within the conference and seeks to develop
ways to strengthen pastors, churches, pastor parish relations,
and clergy in other than church settings. This will include, but
not be limited to: boundary training, Manual on Ministry training,
abuse prevention training, and response team training; helping
to define pastor and parish expectations and obligations to each
other; developing clergy compensation guidelines; and organizing
and/or sponsoring clergy retreats. The emphasis of the team will
be proactive (to help avoid problems) rather than reactive (to
help resolve problems).
