The Board of Directors (BOD) represents the Conference as a whole. They are charged with making decisions for the good of the whole Conference. Their primary responsibility is achievement of the mission and overall outcomes selected by the Conference. The BOD is empowered to create the structure needed to accomplish the mission and to change the structure as conditions or resources change.

The Growth Ministry Team (formerly Church Development and Renewal Committee) meets 3 times a year and has at least 1 member from each association. The team focuses primarily in two directions - evangelism (also referred to as church growth) and new church starts. The team proposes, oversees and evaluates programs and procedures for developing new congregations, which includes: new church leadership and site selection; and strengthening and renewing existing congregations, which includes evangelism training.

The Faith Nurturing Ministries Team (formerly the Faith Nurturing Ministries Committee/Faith CREW) meets 3 times a year. This team proposes, develops, oversees and evaluates programs designed to provide faith nurture for persons of all ages, year round, conference wide. This includes camps, retreats, education and workshops. Faith CREW determines program and registration policies, program leadership recruitment, training and support and promotion of events among the churches.

The Clergy-Parish Ministry Team (formerly the Ministry Committee) meets 2 to 4 times a year, with up to two members from each association (maximum of 12 people). It supports the Association Ministry Committees within the conference and seeks to develop ways to strengthen pastors, churches, pastor parish relations, and clergy in other than church settings. This will include, but not be limited to: boundary training, Manual on Ministry training, abuse prevention training, and response team training; helping to define pastor and parish expectations and obligations to each other; developing clergy compensation guidelines; and organizing and/or sponsoring clergy retreats. The emphasis of the team will be proactive (to help avoid problems) rather than reactive (to help resolve problems).

The Mission Team is responsible for programs relating to the wider mission of the Conference. It also supports the wider mission of local congregations. The team supports and determines grants for Conference Mission Partners. In addition, it deals with a variety of other global, national, regional, and local concerns as they arise. The Mission Team is responsible for the support and funding of the Global Partners Committee, which for the most part function autonomously.

The Stewardship Team meets 3 times a year, with consultations in between. The Stewardship Team encourages increased giving of time, talent, and treasure by the churches of the Conference and by their members to the mission of the local and larger church. The Team provides resources, both printed and other; workshops; consultations with churches and ministers; and encourages churches to strengthen their commitment to Our Church's Wider Mission and to their own local mission.

The Justice and Peace Ministry Team (formerly the Peace and Justice Task Force), is a new ministry team of the Rocky Mountain Conference. The team will meet 4 to 6 times each year, with up to 2 members from each association and 2 at-large members. Members have a passion for peace and justice work. The team will work with local church social justice groups, ecumenical and community groups in our 3-state region and with the national offices.

The Finance Committee develops and oversees the operating budget of the Conference. The committee meets 4 to 6 times per year, with the help and guidance of the Treasurer, to monitor the Conference's financial circumstances and to make recommendations to the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors regarding financial decisions. The Finance Committee reviews Conference financial policies and makes appropriate recommendations through the Executive Committee. The Finance Committee works in cooperation with the Stewardship Committee to encourage generous giving on behalf of members and churches of the Conference, as well as responsible use of those gifts.

The Nominating Committee is made up of one representative from each of the 6 Conference Associations, and elected at the Annual Meeting. It is responsible for submitting nominations for all 4 program committees and 3 administrative committees of the RMC.

The Personnel Committee, a committee of the Board of Directors, recommends personnel policies to the Board; creates and maintains (together with the Conference Minister) job descriptions of employees; makes salary and benefits recommendations for employees, to aid in preparation of the annual budget; and, on behalf of the Board, conducts annual reviews of staff performance. The committee insures that the personnel policies are fairly administered, are updated as necessary, and that the policies reflect the ethics and the goals of the Conference. The committee conducts supportive interviews with staff and seeks to resolve any staffing conflicts and job-related concerns as they arise.

Global Partners is a partnership between the Rocky Mountain Conference United Church of Christ (UCC), the Rocky Mountain Disciples of Christ (DOC) and the Evangelical United Pentecostal Church of Venezuela (UEPV). As far as we know, we are the only Partnership through Common Global Ministries wherein the UCC and DOC work together with a third partner. Together we represent about 200 churches in western Venezuela, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.
