Definitions of:
Acting, Interim
and Intentional Interim Pastors |
An Acting Pastor is
a pastor who works at a local parish during the local church's search
process. An acting pastor has an agreement
with the congregation's, the Association's, and the Conference's
knowledge allowing him or her to be considered for the permanent
position of pastor. |
| An Interim Pastor,
may or may not have interim training, and is one who works at a local
parish during the local church’s search
process. This person has an agreement that she or he will not apply,
or be considered for, the permanent position as this would be in violation
of ministerial
ethics. |
| An Intentional Interim Pastor is
one who has interim training, develops a plan and execution of such
plan for the health and healing of a congregation.
The intentional minister has an agreement that she or he will not apply,
or be considered for, the permanent position, as this would be in violation
of ministerial ethics. |
