#1-Construction, April 13-21, 2008 –Trip

This team will work to enlarge the existing kitchen and library
at the
Pacto Offices in Maracaibo. They are hoping that as usual we’ll
provide
some funding for this project as well as labor.
#2-Youth Trip, July 20-28 – Trip
Leaders, Nathan Thrasher (DOC) (nate@thethrashersonline.com), Robyn Brown (UCC) and others
July 21 the youth will work in Maracaibo on
a project with their youth and do a cultural reality exchange.
Tue., July 22 they will travel to Barquisimeto for a National
Gathering of the UEPV Youth. They know that our youth like to
do work projects while there and they plan to start construction
on an auditorium at the UEPV camp in Barquisimeto. This youth
experience will also include music, sports, reflection and worship.
They will return to Maracaibo on July 27.
#3 –Medical Mission, October 12-20 – Trip

The team will spend the first day in Maracaibo
where the UEPV will try to get our team together with the Cuban doctor of the Wayuu discussing
how we can lay ground work to be supportive there. The day will
be devoted to planning for future Wayuu Clinics/support. There will
not be a clinic that day. On Oct. 14 the team will travel to the state
of Portugesa (a 7 hour drive), where they will spend most of the
remaining time working with underserved people there.
